College is a unique time of growth. It is an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge, build lifelong friendships, and develop into confident, independent adults.
For Jewish students, it is also a chance to strengthen their Jewish identity, deepen their connection to their heritage, and embrace a greater sense of responsibility to the Jewish community on campus, at home, and around the world.
At Chabad of Williamsburg, we are proud to provide a true home away from home for Jewish students at the College of William & Mary. Our home is open throughout the week, where students are welcomed with the warmth of family, a home cooked meal, and genuine friendships. We strive to build meaningful relationships with every student who walks through our doors.
Our diverse and engaging programs bring together Jewish students from all backgrounds. We are especially proud to connect with students who may not have been involved in Jewish life before college, helping them discover a meaningful and positive connection to Judaism, Israel, and the Jewish community. Our Student Board provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills by planning programs, taking on meaningful responsibilities, and making a lasting impact on campus. These experiences help students grow as leaders both during college and beyond.
We also understand that sending a child away to college can bring moments of concern. Please know that you are never alone. We encourage you to reach out, introduce yourselves, and let us know how we can help. Whether your child needs support, a friendly face, or simply a place to feel at home, we are always here for them.
One of our most appreciated resources for parents is our chicken soup express program. If your student is feeling under the weather, you can request that a fresh hot bowl of matzah ball chicken soup be delivered directly to their door.
You can also request a personalized birthday cake to be delivered to your child in honor of their birthday, helping make their special day feel a little more like home.
